New from upc cablecom: 7 days of Replay and Internet at up to 500 Mbit/s nationwide

26.06.2015, With the new portfolio, upc cablecom is also introducing 7 days of Replay and high-speed Internet with 500 Mbit/s. Thanks to the Horizon update, the Replay function is clearer and easy to use. The Internet offer with a data download speed of 500 Mbit/s is now available throughout Switzerland.


With the Horizon update, the new Replay function is now integrated directly into the TV guide (EPG) and is impressively clear and easy to use. Effective immediately, customers can conveniently navigate forwards and backwards in the EPG, enabling the desired programme to be found quickly. Customers can access a selection of some 99 channels in all language regions combined with the possibility of calling up the TV programme from the last 7 days or 30 hours, depending on their subscription. If a programme has already begun, viewers can skip back to the beginning at the push of a button. upc cablecom customers therefore have access to an extensive range of content and can watch their favourite programme whenever they want. The new Replay function is now available to new Horizon digital television customers as well as most existing Horizon DTV customers. The Horizon update also enables quicker navigation and zapping, shows more details of episode titles and impresses with even better film and programme recommendations. This means that customers always know which episode of which series is being shown and are given recommendations for series and films which suit their tastes to perfection.

500 Mbit/s for all
upc cablecom customers can now surf the web at even higher speeds: the current top speed of 250 Mbit/s will now be doubled nationwide to 500 Mbit/s. While only a few of our competitors’ customers can take advantage of the advertised top speeds, upc cablecom makes the new Premium offer available to all customers throughout Switzerland. Furthermore, upc cablecom guarantees no deterioration in the Internet service if the TV is being watched at the same time.

The new update also includes a revised version of the Horizon recorder. This is optimally designed for Internet speeds of 500 Mbit/s. Tried and tested services such as MyPrime, OnDemand, live pause and recording four programmes for up to 240 hours simultaneously are, of course, still included. Furthermore, with the free Horizon Go app, upc cablecom provides entertainment whenever and wherever its customers want. With the app, numerous TV channels or, with MyPrime light, more than 1,000 films and series are available on demand via a smartphone, tablet or notebook. Anyone subscribing to MyPrime can watch more than 10,000 programmes free of charge including films, series, documentaries and children’s programmes.
